Abstract
Many studies related to the geomorphology of the Mount Megantic Massif have been realized, but unfortunately, the scale used does not apply well at the needs of the Parc national du Mont-Mégantic. The geomorphologic mapping at the scale of 1 : 20 000 of the Mount Megantic Massif shows the environmental frames of the different processes that made the changes through the years and also to integrate the glacial and post-glacial history of that area to the history of the Appalachians of Southeastern Quebec. The goal of this thesis is to make a synthesis of all available information about geomorphology of the massif, to make a geomorphologic map at the scale of 1 : 20 000 and put the map in the GIS of the National Park to insure the informed management of the environment and complete the interpretation activities available to the visitors of the Park. Aerial photograph interpretation, field work data and laboratory analysis help to determine the different environments on the Massif, to map these environments and to reconstruct the paleogeography of the Park."--résumé abrégé par UMI.
