Abstract
"Patria v. the Republic of Justia. The problem: The Government of Patria and the Republic of Justia have
submitted the following controversy for resolution by the International
Court of Justice.
The Applicant is the Government of Patria and the Respondent
is the Government of the Republic of Justia.
The parties have stipulated that the information in the
Statement of Facts is true.
This is a hypothetical problem drafted exclusively for the
purposes of the 1979 Jessup Competition. Neither the facts nor the
national laws described and annexed are intended to portray actual
